Community Guidelines

Last updated: November 10, 2026

1. What Community is for

Community is a place for people who are job-hunting or planning a career move to ask questions, share what worked, and read how others handled interviews and offers. It is for work and job-search topics only. It can be read by every member signed in to GraphCareer.

2. Your name, or anonymous

A post, comment or shared story shows your account name unless you choose to post anonymously. Anonymous means other members don't see who you are. We can still see which account wrote it, because we need that to act on reports and to answer valid legal requests. Other members never see your email address or anything else on your account.

3. What is welcome

  • Your own experience, in your own words
  • Honest and strong criticism of a workplace, a manager or a hiring process. Being negative is not against these Guidelines
  • Questions, tips, and what you wish you had known
  • Interview stories shared from Interview Prep
  • A short poll on a post, with two to four options. The options follow the same rules as the text of a post, and nobody can see who voted

4. What is not allowed

  • Harassing, threatening or bullying anyone, or hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content
  • Links, email addresses, phone numbers and social handles, and other people's private information
  • Saying something about a named person or company that you know is false, or accusing a named person of a crime
  • Information you are bound to keep confidential, for example under an employment agreement, a non-disclosure agreement, or the rules of an interview
  • Advertising, referral codes, or asking people to contact you outside GraphCareer
  • Copying what someone else wrote, pretending to be someone else, or posting what you don't have the right to share
  • Posting the same thing again and again

5. What our automatic checks do

Everything you post is checked by rules before anyone else can read it:

  • Links, contact details, abusive wording, promotions and repeats are refused, and we tell you why
  • Some posts, for example one that accuses a person of a serious wrong, are held for a person on our team to read before they are shown
  • Text that passes can go up at once, without a person reading it first
  • A post can be up to 600 characters and a comment up to 500. There is a daily limit on how much a member can post, lower in the first week of an account

The rules do not judge tone. They are there to keep out the things listed in section 4, not to hide honest criticism.

6. Reporting, removal and appeals

  • Anyone can report a post, comment or story from its card and choose a reason. Two reports hide it until a person on our team has looked
  • You can block the author of a post, story or comment, even an anonymous one. You then stop seeing anything they write, and they can't comment on your posts. You won't be told who they are, and they won't be told you blocked them. You can show everyone again from Community
  • You can remove your own posts and comments at any time
  • Our team can approve, reject, hide or remove something, and can suspend an account that keeps breaking these Guidelines. We don't edit what you write
  • If we reject or remove something you wrote, you can appeal once from Community

If something posted affects you, or you believe it is unlawful, see Grievance and Reporting.

7. Changes to these Guidelines

When we change these Guidelines we update the date above and ask you to accept the new version before you next post, comment or share a story. These Guidelines sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
