CTC to in-hand salary calculator

A 20 lakh CTC is not 20 lakh in your hand. Enter a yearly CTC to see what reaches your bank each month after provident fund, professional tax and income tax. Add a second offer to see which one leaves you more.

What you type stays in your browser. It isn't sent to us or saved. This is our estimate for a salaried employee in India, not tax advice: your payslip is what counts.

How this is worked out

  • Income tax uses the new tax regime (section 115BAC) slabs published by the Income Tax Department for FY 2025-26 (AY 2026-27), a standard deduction of ₹75,000, the section 87A rebate (no tax up to ₹12,00,000 of taxable income, with relief just above it) and 4% cess. News coverage of the 2026 Budget reports no change to the slabs for the next year, but this page has not been checked against an official notice for it.
  • Provident fund is 12% of the PF wage, which is usually capped at 15,000 a month. Your offer letter says if yours is on the full basic. The employer's matching share is taken out of the CTC first.
  • Variable pay is shown separately, because it is paid once a year: the extra tax it causes is taken from it, not from your monthly salary.
  • Not included: HRA and other old-regime deductions, employer NPS, taxable income above 50 lakh (a surcharge applies), income from elsewhere, and insurance or other payroll deductions. Professional tax differs by state, so adjust it if yours is not 2,400 a year.
