Accountant Resume Examples & Templates
An accountant's resume should demonstrate precision and ownership - specific processes you improved or errors you caught, not just a list of software you're familiar with.
What to include in an Accountant resume
- Quantify what you touched: close timelines, reconciliation accuracy, dollar amounts caught or saved.
- Name specific software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) only where it's relevant to the role you're applying for.
- Mention certifications (CPA, progress toward CPA) clearly but don't let them substitute for real accomplishments.
- If you caught or prevented an error, say so specifically - it's one of the strongest signals of real ownership.
