Registered Nurse Resume Examples & Templates
Nursing resumes live and die on credentials and clinical specifics. Hiring managers and ATS systems are both scanning for your license status, certifications, and the exact care settings you've worked in - get those right before anything else.
What to include in a Registered Nurse resume
- List your license (RN, BSN, etc.) and state near the top - it's often the first thing screened for.
- Name your clinical setting specifically: ICU, ED, med-surg, pediatrics, not just "hospital nursing."
- Include certifications with dates - BLS, ACLS, PALS, and any specialty certifications.
- Mention typical patient ratios or unit size if it demonstrates the acuity level you're used to.
